A Niskayuna native is taking part in the Broadway musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

If you've gone to many big musicals on Broadway or on tour, you've probably seen the term "swing" in the cast list and wondered what it meant.

Having recently scored a hit with the stage version of the movie Shrek, the Fisher Theatre once again turns to an animated film as inspiration for its latest offering. Disney's Beauty and the Beast returns to the Fisher stage in a new touring production that's being billed as a visually re-imagined version of the 1994 Broadway hit.

Broadway in Detroit invites you to release your inner princess or prince with this charming restaging of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Every little girl might envy Emily Behny's stage world as smart, strong-willed Belle, the heroine of the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast.

Directing the stage show Disney's Beauty and the Beast for Broadway and the national touring company has brought a lot of joy to Rob Roth's life, including his friendship with Alice Cooper.

Every so often, Broadway sees a show that is not only a smash hit, but influences many musical productions for years afterwards.

Disney took a great animated movie and turned it into a good stage musical. The result, Beauty and the Beast, played to an appreciative audience on Tuesday night at the Capitol Theater.

Emily Behny grew up in Silver Lake, Ind., a town where no one’s in a hurry, everyone knows your name and everyone’s content with life in the wonderful Midwest.
